Design and Display
The ZTE Axon 30 Ultra 5G is built with glass on the back and front. It has a smooth panel and curved glass. The panel is home to the camera’s setup and an LED flash. It measures 161.5 x 73 x 8 mm and weighs 188 grams.
On the front, the handset is housing the fingerprint scanner underneath the screen. The display size is 6.67-inch which the company calls a “borderless, curved” OLED panel and it has a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels.
It features a 95% screen-to-body ratio and also protected by Gorilla Glass 5. The phone has support for HDR10 and offers adaptive refresh rates of 60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz, and 144Hz, depending on the applications to save battery life.
Cameras
As for the camera setup, the smartphone has a total number of four cameras on the back. The main snapper is a 64-megapixel f/1.6 with optical image stabilization. You will also get another 64-megapixel camera unstabilized with a 35mm-equivalent f/1.9 lens, ultrawide sensor.
There is a periscope-style telephoto lens paired with an 8-megapixel sensor that has optical stabilization. The traditional punch hole on the phone is housing a 16-megapixel selfie. The cameras can record 8K/30fps video resolution.

The ZTE Axon 30 Ultra 5G has a Qualcomm SM8350 Snapdragon 888 5G chipset with an octa-core processor clocking at a speed of 1×2.84 GHz. The 5nm process node is coupled with Adreno 660 GPU and the device is powered by Android 11 OS with MyOS 11 on top.
There is no external SDcard on the phone. However, it has an inbuilt memory of 256GB with 8GB RAM, another with up to 12GB RAM and the same 256GB while the bigger model has 1TB inbuilt storage with 16GB RAM.
Battery and Network
Fueling the device is a 4600 mAh battery with support for 66W fast charging and Quick Charge 4+. The battery will last for days when fully charge.
