The Motorola Edge Pro falls in place as a sequel to both the Motorola Edge Plus and the standard Edge 20. Browsing through its offerings shows it serves well as a successor and also as a more premium sibling to the latter. Both ways, we have a more capable processor, a slightly more capable camera, and more which will be discussed later in the article.

Design and Display
The Motorola Edge 20 Pro’s design may not be far-fetched from what we have on the Edge 20, but it does bear a very substantial difference when compared to the Edge Plus.
Personally, I think the edge plus’s design looks more up to date in my opinion, whereas the Edge 20 Pro looks less fragile.
Upfront on this device is a 6.7-inch OLED with a punch-hole camera in the top middle position as to be in the top-left position as seen on the edge plus. The edge Plus’s display also happens to follow the edge moniker as it appears to have a noticeable curvature.
Whereas both smartphones bear the same 1080 x 2340 resolution and a density of approximately 385 PPI. However, we do have a 144Hz refresh rate here as opposed to the 90Hz refresh rate on the former.
Taking a trip to the rear panel, we discover a gradient system that’s more subtle in comparison to what we have on the regular edge 20.
Much like its less premium sibling, the camera has been placed in a square with round edges. The difference here s that the top camera has a square shape, which is due to the fact that it’s a periscope. More on that later.
But what’s common amongst the three is the Motorola emblem in the capacitive fingerprint sensor on the rear, which indicates it’s a Motorola smartphone.
Enthusiasts who purchase this device will have three colour options and they include Midnight Blue, Blue Vegan Leather, and Iridescent Cloud.
The Cameras
The Motorola Edge 20 Pro camera setup isn’t really far-fetched from what we have on the Edge Plus regular Edge 20.
On the rear, we have a 108MP primary camera, with an aperture of f/1.9, an 8MP Periscope camera as opposed to only the periscope rendition on the others.
We also have a 16MP ultrawide camera with an aperture of f/2.2 and a 119˚ field of view. This setup is capable of recording videos up to 8k @ 24fps as opposed to 6k @ 30fps on the edge plus and 4k @ 30fps on the Edge 20.
On the selfie side, we have a 32MP single camera with an aperture of f/2.3, which is the same as seen on the regular edge 20 and whereas we had 25MP on the edge plus. Video record here is capped at 1080p @ 30fps.
Hardware and Software
The Motorola Edge 20 Pro settles for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G processor, as opposed to the Snapdragon 778G 5G processor on its less premium sibling and the Snapdragon 865 5G on the edge plus.
Also on the performance train, is the Adreno 650 GPU, 12GB RAM, 256GB built-in storage, a non-removable 4500mAh Li-Po battery, coupled with a 30W fast charge.
On the software side, the Motorola Edge 20 pro runs its interface on top of the Android 11 operating system.
