ZTE Axon 30 5G Specs, Price, and Best Deals

The Chinese tech giant has launched a new smartphone ZTE Axon 30 5G with an Under-screen camera, 120Hz AMOLED screen, and many more. The handset just like Axon 20 which was launched last year is bringing a new generation of under-screen camera technology. The handset also features a better display and a better imaging effect than its predecessor.

Design and Display

The ZTE Axon 30 comes with a nice body design that is built with a combination of glass and plastic frames. The handset has body dimensions of 170.2 x 77.8 x 7.8 mm and it weighs 189 g. The device’s top selling point is on the front. Yes, unlike the Axon 20 display which boasts of just 200 PPI, the Axon 30 display has the world’s first 400PPI under-screen display.

It is also the first device with an under-screen camera that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. On the specification, it offers a 6.92-inch AMOLED screen with around 1.07 billion colors and a screen resolution of 2460 x 1080 pixels.

The handset makes use of a slender 20.5:9 screen aspect ratio with a 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut, matching all colors in the digital image. It also comes with XUltra 3D sound effects that offer an immersive audio and video experience.

The company also added new smart display controls on the Axon 30. You will get smart pixel enhancement control and also smart optimized display control. There is a multi-drive ACE circuit arrangement that makes the transition of the camera area under the screen more clear.

The maker says it relied on tens of thousands of sets of data, through AI deep learning for model training, and it has a revolutionary upgrade of intelligence algorithm 2.0, which allows users to use AI image quality even in scenes with darker ambient light.

The enhancement technology greatly improves both the resolution of the picture and also improves the problems of underexposure and obvious noise during shooting.

The primary camera on the back consists of 64-megapixel Sony IMX682sensor pair with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, a 5-megapixel macro, and a 2-megapixel depth-of-field lens. It can record smart Vlog short video shooting with different built-in smart shooting templates.

The ZTE Axon 30 5G packs a Qualcomm SM8250-AC Snapdragon 870 5G chipset based on an 11nm process node with an octa-core processor clocking at a speed of 1×3.2 GHz.
It has Android 11 OS based on MyOS 11 OS with Adreno 650 GPU.

The handset is also equipped with UFS3.1 flash memory and carries support for memory fusion technology which calls 8GB from flash memory as Virtual storage and it combined with the 12GB physical RAM version making it up to 2GB RAM. The internal memory is available in 128GB and up to 256GB storage.

Battery and Network

The ZTE Axon 30 5G has a non-removable battery of 4200mAh and supports 55W fast charging. It has a dual SIM with a 5G network and there is also NFC for mobile payment.

Other features on the handset include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6, A-GPS, USB Type-C 3.1, and an under-display fingerprint scanner.

The ZTE Axon 30 5G price starts at around $265. In Nigeria, the handset will start selling for 140,000 Naira.

In Ghana, it will cost 2,100 Ghs and 34,000 Ksh in Kenya.
