Design and Display
The Infinix Hot 11 Play like the rest of the Hot 11 series comes in a plastic body. It features some nice looking reflective lines and is available in multiple colors such as Sunset Gold, Exploratory Blue, Polar Black, and Haze Green.
On the front, this Infinix phone has a 6.82-inch IPS display. The is bigger than all the other members of the Hot 11 series, though same size as the Hot 10 Play. The screen provides a resolution of 720 x 1640 pixels (263 ppi) with 440 nits (peak) brightness.
Infinix Hot 11 Play offers a decent display, though not at the same level as the other two models (Hot 11 and Hot 11s) that come with up to 400 ppi and up to 500 nits brightness.
That said, the affordable android phone offers a good enough display for watching movies and browsing the web considering its price point.
Cameras
Infinix Hot 11 Play sports an AI enhanced dual rear camera. The camera consisting of a 13 megapixels sensor and a QVGA sensor captures clear and bright images for good photos and videos for the memories. Quad LED flash is also provided for the rear camera.
The front camera is also AI enhanced. The 8 megapixels camera is optimized to deliver good selfies. An LED flash is also provided for the front camera.
Hardware and Software
Infinix Hot 11 Play packs the MediaTek MT6765G Helio G35 (12 nm) octa-core processor. The processor is built on a dual-cluster architecture with two quad-core Cortex-A53 clocked at 2.3GHz and 1.8GHz respectively.
To compare, the processor provided for the 11 Play is not as powerful as the Mediatek Helio G70 and Mediatek Helio G88 chipsets offered by the Hot 11 and Hot 11s respectively. So, it may not match them in overall performance.
However, the chipset matches them in battery performance, so considering that the Hot 11 Play has more battery capacity with 6000 mAh against 5000 mAh and 5200 mAh in the Hot 11 and Hot 11s respectively, the device should deliver a better battery life performance.
The android phone is loaded with Android 11 with XOS 9.6. It features Game-Zone where you would find all your favorite games in one place, and WeZone which is an app that allows you to play games with your friends that have Infinix phones without a data connection.
