Infinix Hot 12 Specs, Price, and Best Deals

Infinix Hot 12 is the successor of the Hot 11 and the standard member of the 2022 Infinix Hot Series. It was launched alongside the Infinix Hot 12 Play and joins the more affordable Infinix Hot 12i in the series. Infinix Hot 12 is also the first smartphone from Infinix to come with Android 12 out of the box.

The launch of the Hot 12i was followed by the Hot 11 2022, which was a bit confusing since it seemed like Infinix was refreshing an older generation. However, with the launch of the Hot 12 and Hot 12 Play, the 2022 iteration is taking shape.

Design and Display

The Infinix Hot 12 comes in an all plastic body like its predecessor. However, the design has changed a bit. You still get three cameras on the back, but the placement are a bit different. The front camera is now on an infinity-O cutout rather than the dewdrop cutout on the previous generation.

The front of the phone is covered in glass. You also get dual speakers with DTS for a cinematic audio experience. The fingerprint sensor has also been moved from the back to the side.

When it comes to colour options, you get to choose from Racing Black, Legend White, Origin Blue, or Lucky Green.

Infinix Hot 12 sports a bigger display measuring 6.82-inch. The IPS Display offers a resolution of 720 x 1612 pixels with 90Hz refresh rate. It also has touch sampling rate of 180Hz for fast response during gaming. This should make this Infinix phone a decent gaming phone.

Cameras

Infinix Hot 12 features three lenses on the rear. The AI enhanced camera features a 13 megapixels sensor, a 2 megapixels sensor, and a QVGA sensor. It also features Quad-LED flash for taking professional night scene photography mode.

The camera can record full HD videos. It also supports slow motion video recording at 240 fps.

An 8 megapixels camera is provided in the front for taking selfies. The camera is supported with dual LED flash and can also record full HD videos.

Hardware and Software

Infinix Hot 12 sports the MediaTek Helio G85 (12 nm) octa-core processor. The processor is built on a dual-cluster architecture with a dual-core Cortex-A75 clocked at 2.0GHz and a hexa-core Cortex-A55 clocked at 1.8GHz. This should deliver power for a decent gaming experience.

The android phone features 128GB built-in storage with 4GB or 6GB RAM. If you need more storage capacity, you get a dedicated microSD slot that supports up to 512GB memory card.

You also get the Extended RAM feature available in the Infinix Zero 5G, Hot 12i, and Tecno Spark 8C (as Memory Fusion). Depending on the model you buy, the RAM capacity can be extended by up to 3GB or up to 5GB. The one with 4GB RAM can be extended by up to 3GB (giving 7GB RAM), while the model with 6GB RAM can be extended by up to 5GB (giving 11GB RAM).

The smartphone comes with a 5000 mAh battery which is slightly less than the 5200 mAh in its predecessor. It features 18W charging capacity.

Infinix Hot 12 runs on Android 12 out of the box, the first Infinix phone to do so. It is also the first to feature the new XOS 10.6 UI out of the box with its new Smart Scene.

This smartphone features a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB Type-C port with OTG support, low energy Bluetooth 5.0, and dual-band WiFi. Internet connectivity is capped at 4G LTE.

Infinix Hot 12 price in Nigeria starts around 97,000 Naira. The Hot 12 with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is expected at around 135 EUR.

This affordable android phone was announced in April 2022 and is expected to be available for purchase starting May, 2022.
