Design and Display
Umidigi Bison 2 features an AG Matte composite finish with reinforced rubber cushions. It has a rugged build that can withstand an active lifestyle. The smartphone features an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. This rating indicates that it can survive in 1.5 metres of water for up to 30 minutes.
Still on its capabilities as a rugged smartphone, it has an IP69k rating, which indicates its capability to withstand high water pressure of 100 bar and high water temperature of 80 ℃. It is also MIL-STD-810G certified for military grade toughness.
You will see three cameras on the back. Flipping the device to front, reveals a 6.5-inch display with a dot notch. The display has resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels.
The Cameras
On the rear, Umidigi Bison 2 offers a 48MP primary camera, a 16MP ultrawide angle camera, and a 5MP macro camera. So, the depth sensor, in the 2020 edition has been dropped. Video record on this camera is capped at 1080p @ 30fps.
On the front, a 24 megapixel camera is provided for taking selfies. The cameras can operate underwater.

Umidigi Bison 2 is powered by a Mediatek Helio P90 octa-core processor. The chipset has a dual cluster architecture with a dual-core Cortex A75 processor and a Cortex A55 hexa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz and 2.0GHz respectively.
It sports a 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 flash storage for internal storage. You get a hybrid slot shared as a SIM slot and SD-card support up to 256GB. A non-removable 6150 mAh battery is provided with 18W fast charging capacity.
To keep things cool and ensure everything runs smoothly for gaming and other tasks, the Umidigi Bison 2 features liquid cooling system 2.0.
Umidigi Bison 2 runs on Android 12 operating system out of the box. It comes with tools for an active outdoors lifestyle. With the Bosch Barometer and Altimeter you can access real time update about elevation, pressure, direction, and position. You also get other tools like pedometer, etc.
