Design, Display, and Cameras
Like the Umidigi C1, the Umidigi G1 features a shinny AG Matte design available in Sunglow Gold, Galaxy Blue, and Starry Black. Though the G1 and C1 looks like exactly the same phone, the G1 weighs a bit more and is more compact.
The smartphone sports a 6.52-inch display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels.
The Umidigi G1 features a similar dual camera setup as models like the Umidigi Power 7S, the Umidigi F3 SE, and the Umidigi A13s. You get 13 megapixels camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a 2 megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture.
A notch on the front houses the 5 megapixel front facing camera for taking selfies. Both cameras can record 1080p Full HD videos.

Umidigi G1 runs Android 12 (Go Edition) on a Mediatek MT6739 quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. For graphics, an Imagination PowerVR GE8300 GPU clocked at 800MHz is provided.
The android phone has 32GB eMMC 5.1 built-in storage and 2GB LPDDR3 RAM. You can increase available storage via a hybrid slot that can be used as SIM2 slot or memory card slot. As a memory card slot it supports up to 256GB memory card.
The smartphone sports a 5150 mAh battery, promises good battery stamina that can last days of average use.
Connectivity
The Umidigi phone offers a USB Type C port, making it one of the most affordable smartphone to feature a USB Type-C port. You also get dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and 4G LTE.
