Design, Display, and Camera
Tecno Spark 9 features a similar 6.6-inch IPS display with 720 x 1600 pixels resolution and 90Hz refresh rate as the Spark 9T. A V-notch houses the 8 megapixels camera for taking selfies. An LED flash is also provided for the front on the back.
This Tecno phone drops the dual ring, triple camera setup we saw in the Spark 9 Pro and Spark 9T as well as the Tecno Camon 19, the Camon 19 Neo, the Camon 19 Pro,and the Camon 19 Pro 5G.
Instead, you get a vertically aligned camera arrangement similar to the Tecno Pova 3. Though it looks like it has three rear cameras from afar, it actually sports dual rear cameras.
The rear camera consists of a 13 megapixels wide angle lens and an unspecified second camera. You get dual-LED flash, autofocus, Panaroma, and HDR. The rear camera also supports 1080p Full HD video recording.
Hardware and Software
Tecno Spark 9 is powered by the same Mediatek MT6765V/CB Helio G37 (12nm) chipset we saw in the Spark 9T. The chipset offers an octa-core processor consisting two quad-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 2.3GHz and 1.8GHz respectively. A PowerVR GE8320 GPU is provided for graphics.
This Tecno Spark phone comes with 64GB built-in storage with the option of 3GB or 4GB RAM. There is also a more premium option offering 6GB RAM and 128GB built-in storage. A 5000 mAh battery is provided. Tecno Spark 9 comes with Android 12 out of the box.
Connectivity
The android phone offers 4G connectivity for fast internet access. You also get a 3.5mm headphone jack, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS.
Tecno Spark 9 Price and Availability
Tecno Spark 9 price in Nigeria is expected to start at around 85,500 Naira. The Spark 9 is expected to cost around 1,120 GHC in Ghana, and 17,500 KES in Kenya.
