Design, Display, and Cameras
Samsung Galaxy A04 features a design reminiscent of the Galaxy A03. You get a plastic body with a glass covered front with a V-notch provided for the selfie camera. The slight difference in design is the the two camera rings no longer sit on a bump, they are now positioned directly on the back.
You can buy the smartphone in four colors, namely Black, Green, White, and Copper. Like its predecessor it does not offer a fingerprint sensor.
Samsung Galaxy A04 also features the same display as its predecessor. The 6.5-inch PLS LCD display features a 720 x 1600 pixels resolution.
The main camera has been improved. You now have a 50 megapixels wide-angle lens paired with a 2 megapixels depth lens. The rear camera has LED flash and can record videos up to 1080p @ 30fps. The selfie camera is still retained at 5 megapixels.
Hardware and Software
Samsung Galaxy A04 seems to retain the same processor as the Galaxy A03. The Unisoc SC9863A (28nm) Octa-core chipset runs on a 1.6GHz quad-core processor and a 1.2GHz quad-core processor. For graphics, an IMG8322 GPU is provided.
The chipset here is the same with what we saw in the Nokia C21, the Nokia C21 Plus, and the Itel P38 Pro.
You get three storage options to choose from: 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB. The memory is getting bigger with model with 3GB RAM being dropped. The Galaxy A04 starts with 4GB RAM. Samsung is now offering models with 6GB and 8GB RAM.
The storage is expandable via a dedicated microSD slot that supports up to 1TB memory card. You also get a 5000 mAh which provides a reasonable enough juice to take you through the days work.
