Art and Design
The outstanding feature of the Tecno Camon 19 Pro Mondrian is the ultraviolet light-sensitive multi-color art design on the back. This is based on an innovative polychromatic photoisomer technology that Tecno calls a Sunlight Drawing technology.
Essentially, the back appears white in the dark or in ambient light, but when exposed to direct sunlight or bright light it transforms to a colorful art form inspired by a Piet Mondrian’s painting.
Aside the unique art design and a couple of Piet Mondrian’s Art inspired gifts in the box, this Camon series smartphone is similar to the other members of the Camon 19 Series most especially the 19 Pro Edition.
You also get a similar dual ring, triple camera design available in the all the Camon 19 Series including the Camon 19 Pro 5G. The only difference is that while the base on which the lens sits in the other Camon 19 phones is dark, this one is whitish.
All round the smartphone looks great, no wonder it won two international design awards in the 2022 MUSE Design Award in the United States and the A’ Design Award in Italy.
The Display
Tecno Camon 19 Pro Mondrian features a 6.8-inch IPS display that offers a resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels. This is the same display in the 4G and 5G variants of the standard Pro edition
You get 120Hz refresh rate on this device making it great for watching movies, gaming , and browsing the web. The display also reduces blue light for a more comfortable viewing experience.
The Camera
Tecno Camon 19 Pro Mondrian come with the same camera combination as the 4G Pro Edition. The main camera on the back is an impressive 64 megapixels camera built on an RGBW sensor from Samsung with an f/1.6 aperture.
This is supported by an equally impressive 50 megapixels ultrawide angle camera with 2x Optical zoom as well as a 2 megapixels depth sensor.
In this smartphone, you get a great camera for capturing those great moments. Optical image stabilization as well as phase detection autofocus and laser autofocus are supported by the main camera.
On the front, the smartphone has a nice 32 megapixels camera great for taking selfies and making video calls. Both the front and rear cameras can record full HD videos
Hardware and Software
Tecno Camon 19 Pro Mondrian Edition comes with the MediaTek MT6781 Helio G96 (12nm) octa-core processor. Graphics processing is handled by a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. This is the same processor as the standard 4G Pro edition as well as smartphones like the Infinix Note 12 VIP, the Xiaomi Poco M4 Pro, the Infinix Note 12 G96, and Note 12 Turbo.
You get 8GB RAM with 256GB built-in storage. With Memory Fusion support baked into the smartphone, you can add up to 5GB virtual RAM for a smoother experience.
It has 5000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging capacity that can fully charge the battery in 65 minutes. The smartphone runs on Android 12 with HIOS 8.6.
Connectivity
This Tecno phone features a USB type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth and WiFi. This model does not support 5G. You only get 4G connectivity.

Tecno Camon 19 Pro Mondrian price in Nigeria starts at around 189,990 Naira. The Camon 19 Pro Art Edition costs around 36,999 KES in Kenya and 2,250 GHC in Ghana. In Nigeria, some models will come with the signature of Tecno’s brand ambassador Tiwa Savage on the back.
The smartphone was announced on June 2022 and will be available for purchase in July 2022.
