Design, Display, and Photography
Infinix Hot 20 Play features a plastic body and looks very similar to the 12 Play. It is available in four colors: Racing Black, Luna Blue, Aurora Green, and Fantasy Purple. It retains the 13 megapixels dual rear camera with a quad-LED flash. The fingerprint sensor is also on the back. The front 8 megapixels camera is placed on an infinity-O cutout.
Infinix Hot 20 Play gets a slight improvement on the display with a 6.82-inch IPS display that offers a resolution of 720 x 1640 pixels. The display also features 90 Hz refresh rate and 180 Hz touch sampling rate as the standard edition.
The smartphone is built for fun and will be good for watching movies and browsing the web as well as some light gaming.
Hardware and Software
Infinix Hot 20 Play runs Android 12 on a Mediatek MT6765 Helio G37 (12 nm) octa-core processor. The chipset offers two Cortex-A53 quad-core processors clocked at 2.3GHz and 1.8GHz respectively. This is the same chipset in the Tecno Spark 9 and Spark 9T.
Just like the 12 Play, the smartphone offers 4GB RAM with option of 64GB or 128GB built-in storage.
You also get an extended RAM of up to 3GB, which means you get an effective memory of 7GB for a smoother experience. It retains the same 6000 mAh battery to the Hot Play 12 and even the Hot 11 Play. You now get 18W fast charging capacity.
The phone support reverse charging (5W capacity) which means it can also serve as a power bank to recharge other devices like your smartwatch, wireless phones, or even other mobile phones.
Connectivity
The android phone features USB Type-C port with OTG support, Bluetooth 5.0, and Wi-Fi. It supports 4G LTE. 5G connectivity is not available on this phone.

Infinix Hot 20 Play price starts around 85,500 Naira for the model with 4GB RAM and 64GB built-in storage and 99,900 Naira for the model with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. Price starts at around $171.99. Hot 20 Play costs about 2006 GHC in Ghana and 16,400 KES in Kenya.
The affordable android phone was announced in April 2022 and is expected to be available for purchase starting May, 2022.
