Display and Design
Tecno Pova 4 Pro looks similar to the Tecno Pova Neo 5G and Pova 4, but is noticeably smaller. It also features an all plastic body available in just one color: Fluorite Blue. The front is covered in glass with a U-notch housing the front camera. The fingerprint sensor is located on the power on the right side of the phone.
Tecno Pova 4 Pro sports a 6.66-inch AMOLED display with 1080 x 2460 pixels resolution and 90 Hz refresh rate. This is a good quality display good for watching movies and browsing the web. It also has potential as a good gaming phone.
The Cameras
Tecno Pova 4 Pro offers the same camera as the Pova 4. You get the same 50 megapixels dual rear cameras and dual-LED flash with phase detection autofocus (PDAF) on the main 50MP lens. The rear camera can also record 2K HD 1440p videos.
The selfie camera is also the same. You get an 8 megapixels camera and an LED flash in the front for taking selfies. You can also record full HD videos with the front camera.
Performance
Performance-wise, the Tecno Pova 4 Pro is souped-up to deliver. It runs Android 12 with HiOS on the MediaTek MT8781 Helio G99 (6nm) quad-core chipset. This is the same processor in the Pova 4 as well as models like the Infinix Note 12 Pro and the Infinix Zero 20.
The chipset offers a dual-core Cortex-A76 clocked at 2.2GHz and a hexa-core Cortex-A55 also clocked at 2.0GHz. Mali-G57 MC2 GPU is provided for graphics.
It also comes with the same 8GB RAM as the Pova 4. However, it offers double the storage with a 256GB ROM. You cannot expand the storage as the smartphone does not come with a slot for memory card addition.
Tecno Pova 4 Pro has above average battery capacity. The 6000 mAh battery will provide enough juice to take you through a day or two of use. Also when you are out of juice, the impressive 45W fast charging capacity ensures charging does not get in the way of your work or fun for too long.
Connectivity
The 4G phone sports dual-SIM with 4G LTE support. You also get microUSB (USB 2.0) with Bluetooth 5.0. Wi-Fi (including dual-band Wi-Fi) is also supported.
