Vivo V27 is a mid-range smartphone from the Chinese manufacturer Vivo. The V27 was launched as a successor to last year’s Vivo V25. It features a 6.78 inches AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The android phone is powered by a Mediatek Dimensity 7200 processor, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. There is also a triple rear camera setup and 4,600mAh battery.

Design

Vivo V27 has a sleek and stylish design with a slim and lightweight profile. It measures 164.1 x 74.8 x 7.4 mm and weighs 180 g, which makes it easy to hold and use with one hand. The back panel of the phone is made of glass, which gives it a premium look and feel.

It features large 6.78 inches curved screen at the front which is spread across the front panel. The aesthetic 3D curved screen gives the phone a sleek and modern look while also providing a more immersive viewing experience.

Furthermore, the curve on the edges of the screen also helps to reduce the bezels around the display, which maximizes the screen-to-body ratio and makes the phone easier to use with one hand. The Vivo V27 also has punch-hole camera, located in the top center of the display to houses the front-facing camera.

Around the back, the Vivo phone has a glass panel that features a unique matte-finish color-changing design. There is a large rectangular camera housing at the to left corner of the back panel. Inside the module, there are three camera lens and LED flash.

On the right side of the Vivo V27, there sits the volume and power buttons, while the bottom has the loudspeaker, USB-type c port for charging and slim slot.

Display

The Vivo V27 features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The display has a high refresh rate of 120Hz, which provides a smoother and more responsive user experience compared to standard 60Hz/90Hz displays.

The high refresh rate is particularly noticeable when scrolling through content, playing games, and watching videos, as it reduces motion blur and provides a more fluid visual experience.

The display also supports up to 1 billion colors, which is also known as 10-bit color depth. It also has a 20:9 aspect ratio and a pixel density of 388 pixels per inch (ppi), which provides sharp and clear visuals. Additionally, the display has a peak brightness of up to 1000 nits, which makes it easy to view content even in bright outdoor environments.

The Vivo display is also protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5, which helps to prevent scratches and damage from minor impacts. Furthermore, for security, this phone has an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Camera

Compare to it’s predecessor, the Vivo V27 main camera pixel has been downgraded. Instead of a 64MP primary camera, V27 sports a 50-megapixel primary camera, based on  Sony IMX766V sensor. There us also the 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera supporting the main sensor.

The 50-megapixel primary camera has f/1.9 aperture, 1/1.56″ pixel size and 1.0µm, individual pixel. It also supports PDAF and optical image stabilization (OIS) to help capture sharp and stable photos, even in low-light conditions.

On the other hand, the 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera has f/2.2 aperture and a 120-degree field of view, allowing you to capture a wider scene. The 2-megapixel macro camera is designed for close-up shots and can capture details that might be missed by the other cameras.

It also comes with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage that’s expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card.

In terms of software, the Vivo V27 runs on Android 13 with Vivo’s Funtouch OS 13 skin on top. Funtouch OS is known for its clean and user-friendly interface, and it comes with several features such as gesture-based navigation, system-wide dark mode, and a game mode for enhanced gaming performance.

Vivo V27 also has a capacity of 4,600mAh battery. It also supports fast charging with Vivo’s proprietary 66W FlashCharge technology, which can charge the phone up to 50% in just 19 minutes according to Vivo.

In terms of connectivity, there is 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, with support for WiFi 6 and a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer.

Vivo V27 price starts at $ 406 / £ 360 / €‎380 / ₹32,999. The Vivo V27 price ranges from about ₦174,000 to ₦233,000 in Nigeria and starts at around 17,200 EGP in Egypt.
