Xiaomi has undergone a significant design transformation with the Redmi 13C 5G, departing from the typical aesthetics of its predecessor. The previous model was leaning towards the generic budget smartphone look, featuring a somewhat lifeless striped pattern on the back and rounded edges.

The new design is referred to as Star Trail. This design produces star trails and an iridescent effect on the back when light is shined on the phone adding a touch of uniqueness.

Furthermore, the Xiaomi phone has a glass back panel paired with a plastic mid-frame with a matte finish which enhances the overall premium feel and durability, thus enhancing the device’s overall appeal. Weighing in at 192 grams, the Redmi 13C maintains an average weight for its size, striking a balance between appearing cheap and feeling overly heavy.

The square camera module, finished with a high-gloss surface, stands out visually, sitting flush with the back and featuring protruding lenses.

On the front, the phone has a massive 6.74-inch display, towering over competitors like the iPhone 15 Pro Max and Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. The front also adopts a waterdrop-style notch and visible bezels around the screen.
