The BL9000 Pro is Blackview’s latest rugged flagship smartphone announced in April 2024. It is a more premium variant of the original BL9000 model released earlier with upgraded features including a 6.78-inch display, triple rear camera with thermal imaging camera using FLIR Lepton 3.5 optics. The Blackview BL9000 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8020 chipset, backed up by 8800 mAh battery with a whopping 120 watts. and utilizes the DokeOS 4.0 operating system based on Android 14.

Design

The Blackview BL9000 Pro doesn’t stray from the rugged phone design aesthetic and overall design of the original BL9000. The major change is on the back. Instead of the secondary display on the original model the BL9000 Pro swaps it for a FLIR Lepton 3.5 thermal camera, ideal for those who need a tool to detect heat variations.

It has a blocky design with a metal frame, a rubberized back, and reinforced corners. While most rugged phones are known for their size, the BL9000 Pro can be easily identified as one of the largest and heaviest of them all.
