Design and Display
Making a scrutiny of the Realme 8 5G design would reveal a cues from the Realme 7 5G and the standard Realme 8. This boils down to us having a design with familiar elements, which isn’t really a bad thing, especially for those who are big fans of Realme designs.
The rear panel design bears a not so conspicuous gradient design, ontop which you will find a camera module that resembles that of its non-5G sibling. What’s more, we have the Realme branding, which indicates its Realme smartphone.
Moving to the front panel, we find a 6.5 inch IPS LCD display. The highlights of this display includes a resolution of 1080 x 2400, a density of 405 PPI and a 90Hz refresh rate, as opposed to the 120Hz refresh rate on the Realme 7.
The colour options on the device include Supersonic Blue, Supersonic Black. Having dual options like this could be a dilemma for those who do not like either of the color options.
The Cameras
The cameras on the Realme 8 5G are basically the same as the ones on its non-5G sibling, with the exception of one camera missing on the rear setup.
On the rear camera setup on this device comprise of a triple cameras that include a 48MP primary camera with an aperture of f/1.8, a 2MP macro camera with an aperture of f/2.4 and a 2MP depth camera with an aperture of f/2.4.
Comparing the rear camera setup here to that of the non-5G variant shows the absence of an ultrawide camera. Video record on the rear setup is capped at 1080p @ 30fps.
The setup upfront holds a single 16MP camera with an aperture of f/2.1. This camera is also capable of shooting videos up to 1080p @ 30fps.
Hardware and Software

On the software side, we have the Realme UI 2.0 interface running on the Android 11 operating system.

The Realme 8 5G features a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB Type-C port, low energy Bluetooth 5.1, WiFi.
Being a 5G phone that it is, internet connectivity is capped at 5G, which means enthusiats can utilize 5G connections for downloads, streaming, and uploads, provided they are in areas with 5G reception.
