Design and Display
The Motorola Defy is the first rugged device made by Bullitt Group, the company behind CAT and Land Rover-branded rugged phones. Yes, Motorola has already signed a partnership with a UK-based company to produce Motorola branded rugged phones.
Looking at the phone, it parades a nice camera layout that fuses seamlessly with the cross-hatching design of the toughened polycarbonate panel. Although the bezels are huge that has become a norm for rugged phones.
You will also notice that Motorola added a lanyard to the bottom corner of the phone with an inscription that reads “Dust. Water. Drop. Proof”. It offers a display size of 6.5-inch HD+ screen with a waterdrop notch and Gorilla Glass Victus. The screen produces a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels, a 20:9 ratio, and 270 PPI density.
Cameras
On the camera setup, the Motorola Defy packs impressive triple cameras that consist of a 48MP main camera on the back along with a 2MP sensor for macro photos, and lastly is 2 MP sensor for depth of field. The front camera is 8 MP for selfies.
