Design and Display
The Redmi 9i Sport packs a nice-looking body that is wrapped with a combination of plastic and glass. The device’s entire body is looking great and attractive. The smooth panel is hosting the Redmi branded logo with a single rear camera and an LED flash. They are all arranged in a vertical order.
It measures 164.9 x 77.1 x 9 mm in dimensions and weighs 194 grams. As usual, the Redmi 9i Sport has a water repellent coating as well. On the front, the waterdrop notch has a screen display size of 6.53 inches with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels, a 20:9 ratio, and 269 PPI density. It reaches an 81.0% screen-to-body ratio and is equipped with an IPS LCD panel.
Cameras
As for the camera setup, the handset has a dual cameras setup. The front is blessed with a single camera of 5 MP with HDR support and the camera can record 1080p videos. The main camera on the back is 13 MP and it comes with an LED flash and HDR support as well. The primary camera can also shoot 1080p videos.
Hardware and Software
The midrange smartphone from Xiaomi is powered by MediaTek Helio G25 chipset built on a 12nm process node and it has an octa-core processor clocking at a speed of 4×2.0 GHz. It has PowerVR GE8320 graphics and runs on Android 10 OS with MIUI 12 on top.
As for the inbuilt memory, it packs 64GB and also 128GB variants and they are all paired with 4GB RAM. You can still expand the memory if you so desire.
