Design and Display

If a complete redesign is something you hoped to see on the Xiaomi Black Shark 4s, then you should probably look else, as it’s design is basically the same as that of the vanilla Black Shark 4.

The only difference you may spot, lies in the rear. Xiaomi shifted the Black Shark text from the middle to the right and made it bolder. However, we have got the big “S” branding in the same place and also the camera module design didn’t change.

Moving upfront, we have the same setup, which consists of 6.67-inches Super AMOLED display with a punch hole camera in the top middle position. This display has the same resolution of 1080 x 2400 Pixels, a density approximately 395 PPI and a 144Hz refresh rate.

The Xiaomi Black Shark 4s comes in fewer colours. The colour option available here are Black and White, as opposed to the five colour options on the vanilla Black Shark 4.

The Cameras

The cameras on the Xiaomi Black Shark 4s bear no difference from its vanilla sibling. Its the same triple camera setup on the rear and the same single camera setup upfront.

On the rear, we have the same 48MP primary camera with an aperture of f/1.8, the same 8MP camera with an aperture of f/2.2 and a 120˚ field of view and lastly, we have a 5MP macro camera with an aperture of f/2.4.

Moving on to the selfie department reveals we have the same 20MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.0, which tucked in the hole punch on the display.

Hardware and Software

Taking cognizance of the performance makeup of the Xiaomi Black Shark 4s reveals that the only difference it has with the regular Black Shark 4s, is that it doesn’t offer a 6GB variant and begins with a 8GB RAM variant instead. All other specs are basically the same.
