The newly-unwrapped Alcatel Pop 4+ offers buyers a slight upgrade over the equally-new Pop 4. It packs a bigger display, slightly more RAM and greater storage space.
Build and Screen
The build of the Alcatel Pop 4+ is similar to that of its smaller brother. The chassis is made of plastic and the device has same thickness of about 8 millimetres. It also has a curved rear panel and offers several customisation options.
One of the differences is that the OneTouch Pop 4+ crams in a plus-size 5.5-inch display. But this IPS touchscreen also has an HD resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels, meaning clarity will suffer a bit on this one in comparison to the Pop 4.
Camera and Storage
You get similar pair of snappers on the Alcatel Pop 4+ as that on its regular-size brother. On the rear, you will find an 8-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture, LED flash and 720p video recording capability.
This is paired with a 5-megapixel selfie shooter with a wide-angle lens and LED flash. However, you get double the storage space on this one. And if the generous 16 GB of onboard storage is not enough for you, the device can take a microSD card with up to 32GB capacity for storage expansion.
Performance and OS
The Alcatel OneTouch Pop 4+ is also driven by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor moving along at a maximum speed of 1.1 GHz. But this phone is slightly better-configured for improved multitasking and responsiveness with the provision of RAM of 1.5GB capacity.
Enjoyable user experience appears on the card with Android 6.0 Marshmallow providing the platform for the phone to run on.
Other Features
Juice will be supplied to the Alcatel Pop 4+ by a 2,500mAh battery, rated to be capable of supporting talk time of up to 18 hours. The device supports ultra-fast 4G LTE (Cat. 4) connectivity and HD Voice.
Speedy HSDPA+ (4G) is supported as well. You also get the usual such as microUSB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.1 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n for connectivity.
