Plastic Body and Large Display
The Tecno Pop Series is targeted at the entry-level market. So, if you are looking for affordable android phones and have a limited budget, this series is a good option to look at.
The body is all plastic and available in Ice Blue, Deepsea Luster, Turquoise Cyan. The rear camera setup is vertically lined-up in a rectangular bump similar to the look of the Tecno Pop 5 Pro and Camon 18. However, in the case of the Pop 5 LTE and 5 Pro, the bump is thinner and does not house the rear LED flash.
A 6.52-inch IPS display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels is provided here. A Rear facing fingerprint sensor is also provided.
Cameras
Tecno Pop 5 LTE sports a rear camera with dual lenses. The 8 megapixels dual AI lens offers decent photography for capturing memorable events. It also offers dual-LED flash.
A 5 megapixels camera with an LED flash is provided in the front for taking selfies.
Hardware and Software
Tecno Pop 5 LTE runs Android 11 with HiOS 7.6 on a Unisoc SC9863A (28nm) octa-core processor. This is the same processor available in the Infinix Smart 6 and Smart 5 Pro. The processor is built on a dual cluster architecture consisting of two quad-core Cortex-A55 processors clocked at 1.6GHz and 1.2GHz respectively.
You get 2GB RAM with 32GB built-in storage. An impressive 5000 mAh battery is provided which should offer decent battery life.
Connectivity
The smartphone packs dual-SIM with 4G LTE support. You also get microUSB (USB 2.0) with USB on the Go, Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi.
