Design and Display
In terms of design, the Nokia G21 looks a lot like the G11. The body is made of a polycarbonate material available in Nordic Blue and Dusk with the front covered in glass.
The three rear cameras sits on a bump on the back and are vertically aligned. A dewdrop notch in the front holds the selfie camera.
Nokia G21 features what looks like the same display as the G11. The 6.5-inch IPS display delivers 720 x 1600 pixels resolution with an impressive 90Hz refresh rate, which means it can hold its own when watching fast paced action like in movies or gaming.
The Cameras
Nokia G21 has a triple camera setup on the back. The rear camera module has a 50 megapixel camera with f/1.7 aperture. This camera is supported by a 2 megapixels macro camera and a 2 megapixel depth camera.
You get an 8 megapixel camera in the front for taking selfie. Both the front and rear cameras can record full HD videos.
Hardware and Software
Nokia G21 also offers the same Unisoc T606 (12nm) octa-core chipset as the G11. The chipset offers a Cortex-A75 quad-core processor and Cortex-A55 quad-core processor both clocked at up to 1.6GHz with a Mali-G57 MP1 GPU for graphics.
While the chipset are the same, the G21 is more generous with memory and storage capacity. You have the option of buying the 64GB model with 3GB or 4GB RAM and the 128GB model with 4GB or 6GB RAM. A dedicated slot is provided for expanding your available storage.
The android phone promises good battery life with a 5050 mAh non-removable battery. It should take you the whole day on a full charge. You also get 18W fast charging capability.
Nokia G21 runs on Android 11 or Android 12 out of the box. Android 12 update is also available for models that came with Android 11. Like in the G11, Nokia is also offering 2 years of OS updates on this smartphone. This means you would probably also get Android 13 updates when they are pushed.
