Design and Display
The Tecno Pova 4 looks a bit similar to the Neo 5G. It is just available in different colors. Two color options are available: Cryolite Blue and Uranolith Grey.
Unlike the Pova 3 that features three camera rings on the back, you are getting just two camera rings this time. The fingerprint sensor is on the side sitting on the power button.
The display looks a bit like a downgrade considering that the Pova 3 had a 6.9-inch display with 1080 x 2460 pixels resolution. Tecno Pova 4 sports a 6.82-inch IPS display with a more modest resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels resolution.
It however adds support for 90Hz refresh rate which can be decent for watching and for gaming. This looks like a decent gaming phone if you are on a budget.
Photography
Tecno Pova 4 drops a three rear camera system for a two rear camera system. The main camera is still a 50 megapixels wide-angle camera. Tecno have not specified the specs of the second camera.
Dual-LED flash is provided for the rear camera. This Tecno phone will offer clear photos and videos. You can record 2K 1440p HD videos on the rear camera.
The front 8 megapixels camera sits on punch hole. The camera offers LED flash and can record Full HD 1080p videos.
Hardware and Software
For performance, the Tecno Pova 4 combines a MediaTek MT8781 Helio G99 (6nm) octa-core chipset with a generous 8GB RAM. This should get things running smoothly. It has the same processor a the Infinix Note 12 Pro and the Infinix Zero 20.
You also get 128GB ROM with a slot for expanding storage if required. This smartphone runs on Android 12 out of the box with Tecno’s HiOS UI skin running on the top.
Like all Pova series phones, this Tecno phone continues in the tradition of big capacity battery. It retains the same 6000 mAh built-in battery we saw in the previous generation and promises to deliver good battery life for fun and work. It comes with 18W fast charging capacity.
Connectivity
The 4G phone sports dual-SIM with 4G LTE support. You also get microUSB (USB 2.0) with Bluetooth 5.0. Wi-Fi (including dual-band Wi-Fi) is also supported.

Tecno Pova 4 price in Nigeria starts at around 190,500 Naira. The Pova 4 is expected to cost around 16,499 KES in Kenya, and 12,699 INR in India.
