The Infinix Hot 40 Pro is the more premium variant of the Hot 40. It was launched in December, 2023 alongside the standard model and the entry-level Infinix Hot 40i model. Infinix Hot 40 Pro is about the same size and weight as the standard model, but packed with more power and performance and better gaming optimization. Infinix Hot 40 Pro

Design and Display

Design-wise, the Infinix Hot 40 Pro is very similar to the Hot 40 at least on the outside. It features a polycarbonate body available in Palm Blue, Horizon Gold, Starlit Black, Starfall Green, and Free Fire with a glass cover for the front.

A punch hole is provided on the display for the selfie camera. The Magic Ring feature, which is similar to the Dynamic Island feature we saw in the iPhone 15 is also baked into the phone offering a whole new way to interact with the smartphone.

Infinix Hot 40 Pro has a 6.78-inches IPS LCD punch-hole display with a resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels and up to 500 nits of brightness. The smartphone has some potential as a gaming phone with support 120Hz refresh rate and 1200Hz touch sampling rate.

Just like the standard model, this Pro edition offers a triple camera setup on the back, but the 50 megapixels main sensor has been swapped out for a much better 108 megapixels sensor.

You get the volume buttons and a power button which doubles as a fingerprint sensor on the right side with the SIM port on the left side. The USB Type-C port, speaker grille offering stereo with DTS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack is on the bottom side.

Camera

Infinix Hot 40 Pro offers a triple camera setup. The main lens is a 108-megapixel sensor with an aperture of f/1.8, a wide-angle field of view, HDR, and autofocus capability.

This is supported by a 2 megapixels macro lens and a 0.08MP lens. The camera combo promises a colorful, bright, and sharp photos. A new AI algorithm is baked in for an improved low-light performance. A quad-LED flash is provided on the back, which helps to illuminate subjects in low-light conditions and produce brighter and clearer photos.

A 32 megapixels camera is provided is the front for taking best selfies and making sharp video calls. The camera features full HD video recording capabilities and dual-LED flash with shooting modes such as portrait, beauty, and wide selfie to provide users with a range of options for taking the perfect shot and video calls.

Infinix Hot 40 Pro is powered by a more powerful Mediatek Helio G99 chipset. The chipset is built on a 6nm process and features an octa-core CPU with a dual-core Cortex-A76 clocked at up to 2.2GHz and a hexa-core Cortex-A55 cores clocked at up to 2.0GHz. For graphics, a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU is provided.

The processor is more powerful and more efficient making it a good affordable smartphone for mobile gaming and multitasking. To boost its gaming potential even further, the Infinix phone features XBoost New-Gen Gaming Engine for a smooth and stable gaming experience.

With the Metamaterial antenna design that features an up to 3 times larger area for the antenna, the smartphone can now deliver reduced gaming latency, faster downloads, a wider Bluetooth range, and increased signal strength for a more reliable connection.

The device has  8GB RAM with up to 8GB virtual RAM. You can choose between a 128GB and 256GB storage. Storage can be expanded via a microSD card.

Infinix Hot 40 Pro is loaded with Android 13 running the Infinix’s XOS 13.5 skin on top. The XOS skin offers a range of customizations and features, such as lightning multi-window for fast multitasking and Suggestions which makes all your favorite apps accessible by putting them one click away. The Folax voice assistant is also supported on this device.

Hot 40 Pro also features a 5000 mAh battery, which should provide users with enough power to last through the day. With 33W charging capacity, your phone’s battery will be recharged very fast.

The android phone supports for 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type C, Game Antenna Enhancement Technology, and GPS. It also supports dual-SIM.
