This entry-level smartphone shows off a plastic chassis, which comes as no surprise given the price. It has slightly-rounded corners that help to make it look more pleasing to the eyes than the Cloud 3G Candy with its sharp corners.
The 9.75mm-thick Intex Cloud 4G Smart sports a bigger 5-inch TFT touch display with an FWVGA resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. However, the level of clarity would suffer a bit in the light of the rather low screen resolution.
Camera
The snappers on the Intex Cloud 3G Candy and Gem smartphone variants left a lot to be desired. Their maker has done a better job on the Cloud 4G Smart, fitting it with a combo of 5-megapixel primary camera with LED flash and 2-megapixel secondary camera.
Although these snappers are not spectacular given what we see on devices these days, they look more like units you will want to use, at least on paper.
Hardware and Software
On the inside, the Intex Cloud 4G Smart boasts a quad-core processor capable of delivering speeds up to 1.5 GHz. The chip is paired with 1 GB of RAM, which may look measly but is in fact cheering compared to what you get on the Intex Cloud 3G devices.
Onboard storage capacity is a more respectable 8 GB, expandable by up to 32 GB via the microSD card slot. The phone boots Android 5.1 Lollipop software, which is impressive for a device this cheap.
