The Design, Display & Cameras
While the Mate 9 has a 5.9-inch display, the Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a 5.5-inch AMOLED display. The display is curved at both the left and right edges like the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.
Despite having a smaller screen, the Huawei Mate 9 Pro also packs more pixels with a 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution. This means you should expect a brilliant viewing experience on the phone.
Huawei Mate 9 Pro features the same camera as the Mate 9. A Leica dual camera on the back consisting of a 12 megapixels colour camera and a 20 megapixels monochrome camera. The two cameras combine to deliver amazing pictures. The phone is equipped with an 8 megapixels front facing camera.
Hardware and Software
Huawei Mate 9 Pro runs Android 7.0 (Nougat) on the Huawei Hisilicon Kirin 960 chipset with 4GB or 6GB RAM. The chipset has two quad-core processors clocked at 1.8GHz and 2.4GHz respectively. Huawei Mate 9 Pro offer two storage options. The 64GB model has 4GB RAM, while the 128GB model has 6GB RAM.
