CTO 2009, technology and service exhibitions and seminars will hold between May 11 and May 15, 2009 at the Muson centre, Lagos, Nigeria. CTO 2009, organised by the US Commercial Service in Nigeria, provides a great opportunity for local companies representing or working with US manufacturers and suppliers to showcase their computing and telecommunications solutions.
Companies like Oracle, IBM, HP, Apple, Sun Microsystems, Dell, and Microsoft use partners that can better satisfy the unique needs of specific regions or industry. These partners provide customized hardware and software solutions for these American companies. CTO 2009 will provide opportunity for new partnerships between US companies and companies in Nigeria and the West African region.
CTO 2009 according to current media campaign will highlight and feature US technologies, tools, and services that Nigeria needs to grow and modernise its economy through partnership in these technology sectors.
CTO 2009 will feature seminars and exhibitions. May 11, 2009 will be devoted to seminars, focusing on the theme “Growing the Market Through Partnerships in Technology.” Exhibitions and Seminars at CTO 2009 are open to the public, but attendees younger than 18 years old are not permitted on the exhibition floor, except on Thursday, May 14, 2009, when college and university students are permitted to attend.
Cost of participation in the CTO 2009 exhibition is 300,000 Naira, payable in bank draft to US Consulate General Lagos. This is for organisations interested in exhibiting their solutions at CTO 2009, and covers cost for event documentation, promotion, and construction. Cost also covers one self-contained, 3×3 square metre exhibition booth (multiple booths may be purchased), a table, two chairs, general security at the event site, and participation in the seminar.
Potential exhibitors must note that the US Commercial service has the exclusive right to determine space and booth allocation as well as who participates in CTO 2009.
