But before Apple unveils its new iPad pro, they are going to release another iOS update for the existing users of iPhone, iPad and of course the iPod as well.

Yes, it is true, the latest iOS 11.3 update is about to release. Obviously, as an Apple user, you would love to get the new update to boost the performance of your device. If you are using iPhone 5, iPhone 5C or iPad 4, then you will not be able to get this update. Only users who are using iPhone 5S, iPad Air and higher models would be able to get this update on their devices.

How to get iOS 11.3 Update?

It is very simple; you have to open the settings menu. From there you need to navigate to General and then to Software Update. You must be connected to the wifi or you should have mobile data activated. You can also upgrade your iPhone or iPad to this update by connecting your device to the PC using iTunes.

Can you upgrade your iDevice to iOS 11.3?

If your device is already on iOS 11 then you can surely upgrade it to iOS 11.3 but if you are still on iOS 10 then you have to check which device you are using. If you are using iPhone 5, iPhone 5C, iPad 4 or older devices then you will not be able to get this upgrade.

Take the backup of your data

Remember there might be some problems if you upgrade your phone. Like if your battery is weaker and it drains out during the update process you might lose your photos and other important data. So, it is very important to take a fresh backup of your important data before you upgrade your iPhone or iPad to iOS 11.3.

To take the backup of your iDevice, you can connect it with iTunes and create a fresh back at your PC or you can go to Settings > iCloud > Back and then select the option of iCloud backup.

This is important because if anything goes wrong, you can get your data back from the latest backup.

Remember: If you upgrade your device to iOS 11.3, you can’t downgrade this update and can’t use the older version again.

Before you try to upgrade your iPhone/iPad to iOS 11.3 make it sure that:

  • You have some free storage; you can uninstall useless Whatsapp videos or applications that you no longer use.
  • You should know your iCloud, Apple ID and device passwords.
