The HP Elite x2 1011 G1 is a highly mobile 2-in-1 offering the benefits of two devices in one (tablet or laptop). The elegant and sleek device is durable and equipped with efficient fifth-generation Intel Core M processor, while offering ability to use as a pint-sized laptop by attaching a full-sized HP Premium Keyboard.

Build and Display

Parading a thin profile at just 20.8 millimetres, the HP Elite x2 1011 G1 is designed to be very easy to move around. The tablet portion is just 10.7mm thin and weighs less than 1 kg. It is engineered to cope with rugged use, having been designed to withstand military-standard MIL-STD 810G testing.

HP Elite x2 1011 G1 features premium Glass Forcepad with support for two-way scroll with legend as well as taps and gestures. It sports an 11.6-inch diagonal, LED backlit touchscreen with HD resolution. The Brightview IPS panel may also be available in Full HD (1080p) option as well.

Performance and Software

HP Elite x2 1011 G1 is equipped with a low-power Intel Core M processor clocked at 1.2 GHz and up to 2.9 GHz with Intel Turbo Boost. The processor is backed by an onboard Intel HD Graphics 5300 adapter capable of up to 2 GHz with Intel Turbo Boost.

Standard system memory is 4GB, with this being upgradeable up to 8GB. HP Elite x2 1011 G1 runs on Windows 8.1, but buyers may opt for Windows 7 or FreeDOS.

Additional Information

The use of M.2 and M.2 SE SSDs for storage on the HP Elite x2 1011 G1 means a more responsive performance. M.2 SSD capacity ranges from 128 GB to 512 GB and the capacity is between 180 GB to 256 GB for M.2 SE SSDs.

The 2-in-1 detachable tablet supports Bluetooth 4.0 and dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac. Available ports and connectors include one USB 3.0 and one DisplayPort 1.2 on keyboard as well as one docking connector and one headphone/microphone combo port on the tablet.

Two keyboard options are available fro the HP Elite X2 1011 G1. One is the travel keyboard, which is just an island-style backlit keyboard and the other is the power keyboard that has an additional 6-cell battery built-in, which can extend battery from up to 9 hours to up to 14 hours.

HP Elite x2 1011 G1 features a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera (both with Full HD capability). It also has dual speakers, dual microphone array with echo cancellation and noise-cancelling DTS Studio Sound technology.

TPM 1.2/2.0, HP 3D Driveguard, fingerprint reader and HP Client Security are few of the available security and management tools. HP Elite X2 1011 G1 also offers a micro SIM slot, which enables you connect to the internet via your mobile network.

Pricing and availability

HP Elite X2 1011 G1 2-in-1 detachable laptops are not yet available in Nigeria. HP Elite X2 1011 G1 price in Nigeria is expected to start at around N190,000 or around 244,000 Naira with the power keyboard, depending on the configuration of the laptop.
