Design and Specifications
Acer Liquid Leap+ looks a lot like just a regular hand band. The design is minimalist and should appeal to users who do not like overly flamboyant look. It should not attract too much attention while delivering its performance.
Sporting a 1-inch OLED screen, the smart activity tracker is very compact and will hardly be felt on the wrist.
The fitness band is equipped with a powerful battery that its maker says should last for up to a week. Acer Liquid Leap+ is compatible with smartphones running on iOS, Android and Windows Phone operating systems, with connection to a phone made over an energy-efficient Bluetooth 4.0 LE.
One other appealing thing about Acer Liquid Leap+ is its IPX7 water-resistance rating, which means the wearable can be immersed in up to a meter of water for half an hour.
Capability and Features
Acer Liquid Leap+ counts the number of steps taken by a user and keeps tab on sleep pattern while also calculating the amount of calories burned when engaged in an activity. The smart activity band syncs with Acer’s health app to generate charts for tracking data. Users can enjoy several other features when connected to a phone.
The Acer Liquid Leap+ supports basic music controls, allowing you to play, pause or skip songs by tapping the screen of the wearable. Email, text messages and other notifications can also be pulled to the device from a phone.
The supplied strap for Acer Liquid Leap+ can be easily swapped by simply popping it out and fixing in its place another one that you prefer. The band will have three colours of replaceable straps, namely: green, black and pink.
The predicted selling price of $90 will definitely help to make this smart activity tracker more appealing to those who might not be awed by its design or specifications.
Pricing and availability
Acer Liquid Leap+ is not yet available in Nigeria. When available, you can buy the activity tracker at leading online stores in Nigeria. Acer Liquid Leap+ Price in Nigeria is expected to range from N19,000 to N30,000 at launch.
