Design
Compared to its predecessor, the Lenevo ThinkPad T490 14-inches comes with improved design; slimmer and more lightweight, so, you get access to an ultra-portable laptop.
Lenovo Thinkpad T490 now sport thinner bezel compare to its predecessor, therefore enabling the thin-edges. The body is constructed of plastic with glass fiber backing, hence, it feels sturdy enough in hand.
The top lid housing the display is covered in finely textured plastic, so, it is light-weighed and easy to open. However, the bottom chassis house the keyboard, touchpad, Trackpad and other components.
Lenovo Thinkpad T490 bottom chassis is made of sturdy and tough metal (aluminum). This keyboard is backlit (2 levels of brightness) with a monochrome light.
On the left side of the Lenovo Thinkpad T490, is a USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C port and a Thunderbolt 3 port, the latter of which can be used for mechanical docking. Either one can be used for charging though.
