Design and Display
The design of the Infinix Hot 9 Pro is an exact replica of what we saw on the standard Infinix Hot 9. Both smartphones share the same chassis design.
On the rear, we have the same curved edges we saw on its less premium sibling. we also have a square camera module housing quad cameras and a camera flash. We have a circular capacitive fingerprint sensor and the Infinix and Hot branding which indicates its an Infinix phone.
Upfront we have a 6.6-inch IPS LCD display that houses a punch-hole camera. This display has a screen resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and a screen density of 266 PPI
The Cameras
The Infinix Hot 9 Pro took a giant step in changing the status quo of cameras on smartphones from the Hot series, which in turn sets the Hot series on a higher pedestal.
The rear camera department has in its arsenal a 48MP primary camera, a 2MP macro camera, a 2MP depth camera and a QVGA camera for taking photos in low light scenarios. This setup is capable of shooting 1080p videos at 30fps. You also get HDR and Panorama for photos.
Please note that the Infinix Hot 9 Pro is totally incapable of utilizing its 48MP camera to its full potential, which is due to the fact that Helio P22 chipset lack support for a camera sensor as big as 48MP.
Selfies are manned by a single 8MP which is also capable of shooting 1080p videos at 30fps.
Hardware and Software
Infinix Hot 9 Pro brings a jump in the specs sheet. As discussed in the introductory paragraph, it is one of the most powerful Infinix smartphone to have come out of the Hot series.
It packs in an Octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 processor, a PowerVR GE832 GPU, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, and a non-removable 5000mAh battery.
On the software side, it runs the XOS 6.0 user interface on top of the Android 10 operating system.
