Design and Display
The design of OnePlus Nord facilitates no jarring effect. It comprises of elements we have seen on a lot of previously released smartphones. In summary, there aren’t really any bells and whistles here.
However, the build of the OnePlus Nord does pack in some premium materials. It comprises of Gorilla Glass 5 on the rear and upfront.
Upfront you will find a 6.44-inch Fluid AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2400, a screen density of 408 PPI, HDR10+ support, and a 90Hz refresh rate.
This display is home to a camera cut-out that is way more conspicuous than that of the OnePlus 8 Pro. This is due to the fact that this cut-out is housing dual cameras.
On the rear, we have a vertically arranged quad-camera setup, an LED flash, the Oneplus emblem, and the OnePlus branding text which indicates its a OnePlus smartphone.
Colour options are far from being robust on the OnePlus Nord. Enthusiasts have got just two variants, Blue Marble and Gray Onyx.
The Cameras
The OnePlus Nord is the first OnePlus smartphone to features six cameras. This comes in opposition to the quad cameras on the OnePlus 8 and the Pental cameras on the OnePlus 8 Pro. However, please bear in mind that research has shown that having more cameras or having bigger camera pixels doesn’t really facilitate a better camera performance.

The OnePlus Nord offers an upper mid-range processor, alongside some performance facilitators we saw on the OnePlus 8. In summary, we have got a very solid upper mid-range smartphone that is capable of performing most smartphone tasks with little or no lags.
Under the hood of this Android phone are an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 processor and an Adreno 620 GPU. You also get to choose between having 8GB or 12Gb of RAM. Storage variants include 128GB or 256GB.
The OnePlus Nord houses a non-removable 4115 mAh Li-Po battery. You also get a Warp Charge 30T, which amounts to a 30W fast charge capacity.
On the software side, you have got OxygenOS 10.0 user interface running on the Android 10 operating system.

The Oneplus Nord features a USB Type-C (2.0) port, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, and NFC. Please note that it doesn’t feature a 3.5mm headphone jack. Private audio listening possible via a USB-C headphone and wireless headphones.
Thanks to its 5G support, streaming, uploads, and downloads are capped at 5G speeds. However, you can only tap into this speed where there is 5G reception.

OnePlus Nord Price starts at around $389. You can buy the smartphone at leading global online stores. The smartphone costs around 220,000 Naira in Nigeria.
The maxed-out 12GB RAM / 256GB storage will go on sale for $598, which translates to 231,725 Naira in Nigeria, 64,631 KSH in Kenya, and 3,450 GHC in Ghana.
The OnePlus Nord was announced on July 21, 2020, and is expected to go on sale on August 4th. Please note that it will be available in some parts of Asia and Europe.
