Realme V5 5G Specs, Price, and Best Deals

Realme has just unveiled Realme V5 5G which is the first device from the V series. It’s the more affordable variant of the Realme X50 5G and its advanced Realme X50 Pro 5G debuted in February. The smartphones features a 6.5-inch display and four rear cameras.

It comes with an attractive price tag of $200 set to compete with the Honor X10 and Redmi 10X. It offers exciting specs sheets like 90Hz refresh rate screen, 48-megapixel quad cameras, Dimensity 720 SoC, and a huge battery with rapid charging support.

Design and Display

In terms of body design, the Realme V5 5G maintains a modern body. For the first time, Realme used a rectangle-shaped camera module on its smartphone similar to the one found on Infinix Smart 5.

It has a screen size of 6.5-inch IPS LCD that delivers a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, 20:9 aspect ratio, 90Hz refresh rate, and 180Hz touch sampling rate.

The phone offers 90.7 percent screen space and it is protected by Gorilla Glass panel.

Cameras

On the front is a punch-hole positioned at the upper-left corner of the display. This hole houses an f/2.0 aperture 16-megapixel selfie shooter. It features HDR, background blur, panorama, AI beauty, gesture photography, time-lapse, and 30fps full HD video recording.

The main camera on the back includes a 48-megapixel with f/1.8 aperture, a 119-degree 8-megapixel ultrawide lens with f/2.3 aperture, a 2-megapixel macro lens with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture.

The smartphone camera provides some useful features such as super night scene mode, panorama, time-lapse, bokeh, HDR, ultrawide angle video recording, UIS /UIS Max video super anti-shake, 120fps 1080p slow-motion video shooting, and also 30fps 4K video recording.

Hardware and Software

The Realme V5 has a MediaTek Dimensity 720 5G with an octa-core processor clocking at a speed of 2.0 GHz Mali-G57 MC3 for graphics. The MediaTek chip is paired with a dual-mode 5G support and up to 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM.

The device offers users with 128 GB of UFS 2.1 storage and it comes with Realme UI based Android 10 OS. You can also expand the storage via the shared SIM slot.

Battery and Network

There is a behemoth battery of 5,000mAh capacity. The juicer is backed by a 30W SuperDart charger. Realme claims that it will take 65 minutes to completely charge the Realme V5 through SuperDart technology.

The phone can also be used for charging other devices like power bank via the reverse charging technology.

Apart from the 5G network, it has other connectivity features such as dual SIM slot, 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB-C, and 3.5mm audio jack. For security, it has a side-mounted fingerprint, a superlinear speaker, and Hi-Res audio.

Realme V5 5G Price and Availability

The Realme V5 5G is now available for purchase and the 6GB+128GB model will cost $200 while the 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage goes up to $275.

In Nigeria, it will sell starting from 85,000 Naira, about 23,000 Ghs in Kenya, and 1,200 Ghs in Ghana. The color availability includes Silver Wing Boy, Breaking Light (Green), and Blue colors.
